This comprehensive presentation will cover all aspects of memory loss including:
- Medications which cause loss and the long term repercussions;
- How that differs from memory loss due to a stroke or heart attack, at what age is short term memory loss common, forgetting words, social obligations, etc;
- What we can do to exercise our brain and keep our memories sharp; and
- The complexity of memory loss, Alzheimer's vs. dementia, vs. Lewy body dementia.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Amy Sanders is a neurologist offering virtual consultations at Sunday Health. She helps patients with brain and nervous system disorders affecting their ability to function normally and enjoy a good quality of life.
During consultations, Dr. Sanders listens to patients’ concerns, conducts thorough examination and testing, explains the diagnoses, and prepares treatment plans. She also offers lifestyle and diet suggestions tailored to their unique situations. Additionally, she provides follow-up care if necessary. Dr. Sanders attended the State University of New York to obtain her medical degree. She is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
