Our lives are a journey. As we make our way on our path, we find others to walk with us. As they share our journey, they support and challenge us. At times, some leave us. And then, others join us. We learn from them and share our experiences.
We think we have our path planned out. But then something unanticipated comes along: a pandemic, an accident, a health crisis, the death of a loved one, a change in our abilities. Our path takes a different direction. It looks a little hazy.
Who among us has not had this experience? And especially as we age, it may seem that our journeys are affected by more twists and turns than we would like.
This Village discussion group, Navigating the Path Ahead, aims to bring together people who are being challenged by situations and opportunities on their journeys. Here are some examples: living alone; receiving a new diagnosis; wondering what’s next; do I need to make accommodations in my home? dealing with loss; where can I find new experiences? what can bring me joy? how can I reignite the passion in my life?
While this group might attract members who are in later years, it is open to anyone who may want to participate. This is an opportunity for you to share the journey with people who are friends and maybe others who are new.
Tim Rogers who will facilitate the group is certified in Somatic Integrity and has years of experience in group work here in the Dupont Circle area.
